Preface

This particular meeting with my friends in late 2023 was not the my first attempt on automatic drawing. It all started presumably in early 2022, when I purchased a set of coloured pencils in muted tints intended for landscapes. I even tried to draw a classical landscape, but realized after a few minutes, that this was not really my cup of tea. So, for the first time, I muted my thoughts and set my hand free. I liked the results, also the results from other similar experiments in the intervals of several months, but the choice of technique was not really satisfying. Picking colours makes you ponder, and by using pencils you always have a chance to erase, to undo your work. You are tempted to think. Only the complete of abandonement of any degree of freedom has set my mind free. Loose something, gain something. A line's a line and that's that. So, ink and paper it is.
